With a nation in limbo, with an economy on life support and a new Congress unable to take action till the new year, The Rachel Maddow Show has commenced a "Lame Duck Watch". The segment chronicles the Bush administration's last minute moves, including the Bureau of Land Management's attempt to secretively lease thousands of acres of land to oil and gas companies on election day. Maddow condemned this maneuver and looked to Robert Redford, who blogs on the subject for the Huffington Post, to illuminate what's at stake. "What kind of investment in our future...is thinking we can drill ourselves out of this mess?" he asked.
