Members of the Daily Show team could not contain themselves when news of Barack Obama's presidential win was announced on election night. Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and the rest of the hard-hitting faux news crew did not cheer with joy or sigh with relief after hearing the final outcome. Instead, the reaction was that of...despair, as the "reporters" tried and failed to come to terms with the fact that the election was over. Stewart tried to reassure others, shouting with certainty that "there was a world out there before the election!" but it was to no avail. Jason Jones whimpered "what are we supposed to cover now?"
