Chris Matthews slammed Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin on his program Hardball this week, demanding an explanation of Palin's views on the vice presidency, and questioning why the RNC has spent $150,000 on wardrobe and makeup for Palin and her family. Matthews sparred with McCain advisor Nancy Pfotenhauer, asking her where Sarah Palin "got her civics". Pfotenhauer defended Palin, but Matthews said "thinks she's setting up policy shop in the US Senate."
