In the 2006 midterms, populist candidates surged to victory, promoting a new economic vision for the country. In this VideoNation report, John Nichols describes the free-trade political environment that has sent so many jobs overseas and led to this populist upswing. In an interview with newly-elected Senator Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Nichols shows that the new Democrats are pursuing a new trade agenda-- based on fairness and justice over sheer corporate gain.
