  • Let's keep AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac nationalized, and remodel them to provide public services like low-cost health insurance and housing.

    Forget about privatizing them again, since the old system has failed. This is an opportunity for progressives to move away from free-market capitalism that has not existed since the 1930s. If we don't take advantage of it, the chance may not come around again for decades.
