A very thoughtful and patriotic article! It is a very good idea that I hope will be felt and considered, so your society can go forward within a context of honesty and sincerity, based on a renewed social contract, and as has been stated by another thoughtful person, towards a more perfect union!

There is the truth and then there is the truth. I appreciate very much Dennis's contribution. I don't think it can be discussed by a public servant who wants to keep his job...or life for that matter..the subject of who benefitted the most from the 9-11 event. It should suffice to say that worldwide fascism has gotten the post- WW2 boost it needed to continue and flourish again in our times. From Bush, bin Laden, Cheney, Hussein, Kadafi, Pinochet, Pol Pot and the countless purveyors of death, greed and profit who worship devils, we have gotten ourselves in some kind of pickle in the last sixty years.

It's always said when the press is controlled by radicals, it's over.

I think it's time for... Superman... truth, justice and the American way... in the form of your choosing. I picked Obama. To me, it spells the end of America if we don't get him elected.

This insightful and patriotic piece reminds me yet again of why Dennis Kucinich was silenced by the mainstream media and the Washington elite.

He "gets it" in a way that no other politician does. And he's willing to put his reputation and career on the line to do the right thing for our country, not his posterity. Were we to have the wisdom to elect leaders like him (and they are very rare) we would never find ourselves in the mess we have made of our democracy, which causes me much embarrassment and shame.

As I watched President Bush give his address at the unveiling of the 9/11 memorial at the Pentagon today--and heard him continue to defend his unjust and illegal war--I couldn't help but ponder that were it not for his incompetence, we would not be needing 9/11 memorials on this solemn day.

Sadly, there are too few people in Congress who would benefit from the voter's knowing the truth. (Reconciliation can't be forced, but could come naturally, depending upon the quality of the panel and of the panel's work.)

We need someone like Mr. Kucinich either to be the first to resign in protest over the theft of his right to impeach for any reason, or else to create his own (however small and informal) truth and reconciliation panel, and to start his investigation with the suspects he knows best: war-voting and war-prolonging Congressional Dems.
