  • They call their movement "Recreate 68." They are going to a convention the Democratic Party has taken great pains to present as one of unity. Their goal, evidently, is to recreate the single worst thing that has happened to the Democratic Party in the last fifty years.

    I can't help but wonder how many of them are Republicans. After all, young Republicans dressed as flamboyant gays were dancing on street corners expressing their love for Kerry in 2004. Republicans cheerfully gave money to a phony selling the yarn that there was no difference between Gore and Bush in 2000. Jonah Goldberg's gruesome mother is still bragging about the dirty tricks she pulled on the McGovern campaign in 1972.

    And now, on the verge of nominating the first African-American in history to run for President, these "liberals" are trying to recreate the single most disgusting chapter in modern Democratic convention history. I can't help it. I smell a rat.
