  • Do the people on either side of the table at the hearing really believe what they are saying? Possibly they don't because they are just serving the empire Administration and its loyal opposition. What these people say sounds insane to me. What they report is disconnected from the truth in the Middle East. They are not dealing well with reality. They don't get it. As the article says, they are trapped in their concept of their mission. They have become as much a victim as the millions of civilians. We citizens and our nation are close to the precipice. Closer than any of us realize. Keep a watch out for the signs of collapse. Some have emerged and others are on the horizon. Remember how fast the Soviet Empire collapsed as the final tumbler fell into position. The key is turning.

  • Nothing to disagree with in this article. However, staying or leaving is a matter of choice. If it is in America's interest to leave, than we pack our bags and leave.

Keep things simple! Iraqis can fix Iraq! Americans cannot fix Iraq! We leave!
