The article discusses the actions of the radical right in the United States following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. The target of vigilante violence were not Jews anymore but Arabs and others who are mistaken for Middle-Easteners. Most Americans believe that Osama bin Laden was responsible for the September 11 terrorist attacks. After the attacks, the anti-Arab attitudes did not subside anymore. According to a survey of Americans regarding the terrorist attacks, 32% favored in putting Arabs under special surveillance.
